An Updated Exterior and Endless Model Types Made This Classic Car a Hit in Its Day
With a beautifully styled front grill, hubcaps painted extra shiny, and improved headlamps and windshields, the 1936 Ford Model 68 was meant to be a stylish improvement from previous models that the Ford motor company had produced in years prior. Nobody was surprised when sales increased significantly, and in fact, production reached over 530,000 units in the 1936 year.
United Routes was tasked with the job of moving a very well preserved 1936 Ford Model 68 Coupe, and we knew that, like with all classic or antique car transport, it would mean employing the utmost of care. Thankfully, with our professional team of drivers, we were able to execute the job as seamlessly as one would expect from a leader in the auto transport industry.
One of the greatest aspects of the 1936 Ford Model 68 set of automobiles, was the fact that there was such a large variety of styles from which to choose. Though everyone at the time knew they were getting a quality automobile when buying a Ford, naturally, families, single individuals, and newlyweds would all want styles that fit in with their distinct needs.
Luckily, Ford wisely thought to manufacture various model types. Whether it was the practical Tudor, the flashy Coupe or the sturdy Truck Sedan, every consumer could find something that would meet their needs. The most popular style was the Deluxe Fordor Tourer Sedan, selling nearly 160,000 units of this type.
Some of the 1936 Ford Model 68’s Specs
The 1936 Ford Model 68 had a 221 cubic inch 3.6 liter engine under its hood, and it helped to produce 85 horse power, considered pretty impressive for those days. The transmission was simple and easy to operate.
All of the models had rear wheel drive, and the chassis of the 1936 Ford Model 68 was made of steel which helped to contribute to its weight of over 2500 pounds. Depending on which model type you’d purchase, it would cost somewhere in between $500 and $750 for the Ford Model 68.
What was perhaps most unique about the 1936 Ford Model 68 was the updated exterior of the car. Among the many improvements were the front and back fenders made to look sharper than in previous years’ models, and the old fashioned horn, usually placed on the outside of the car during that era, was moved to under the hood as we’re used to today.
Experts in Classic Car Transport
With years of experience in enclosed car transport, dealing with cars of all ages, it was no shock when the owner of a beautiful 1936 Ford Model 68 Coupe called us. He needed a company with a great reputation in vehicle transportation service, and he came to exactly the right place.
When moving any car that is of high financial or sentimental value, we at United Routes know what it means to handle your car with care. Our specially designed car carriers are made to accommodate any shape or condition car, and ensure that your antique, classic or exotic car is delivered safely to its destination.
The Sports Car That Makes You feel Like a Fighter Pilot
With 610 horsepower, and able to reach 60 miles per hour in under 2.5 seconds, the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio will blow your mind whether you’re watching it fly by on the street, or have the lucky chance of sitting inside the high-tech cockpit.
Recently, United Routes had the chance to transport a 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio. With loads of experience in dealing with exotic car transport, we were very excited to move the Avio, and at the same time, felt very confident in getting it to the desired location in the exact same state in which we picked it up.
The Utmost in Power and Control
The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio was produced with significant assistance and input by a team of aeronautical engineers. Though this might seem strange to a novice in the world of super cars, when manufacturing an automobile with the power and control of the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio, one would be foolish to try to make one without these guys.
When driving this powerful yet regal car, one will truly get a glimpse of what it may be like to control the throttle of a fighter jet ripping through the clouds. Yes, the power and incredibly controlled and precise steering is that good. With years of research and development and tens of millions of dollars invested in producing the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio, you wouldn’t expect anything less.
The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio, like many of the cars in its class, has its engine in the middle of the car, instead of the usual location at the front. This helps to provide more weight to the rear of the car giving the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio better traction and being able to cut tight corners at higher speeds.
The engine is arguably one of the most powerful in the world. Starting with a 5.2 liter V10 engine manufactured by Audi and Lamborghini, and a dual clutch automatic transmission with seven speed options, no one can ignore the sheer power of this beast. In spite of the immense power of the engine however, the engine is crafted as one of the lightest engines in its class, helping to achieve optimum speed on any day. The chassis is also made up of a very lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum mix, helping any driver get great results on the road.
Additionally, the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio is naturally aspirated like many of the other models in the Lamborghini line, which helps to facilitate the most efficient running of this amazing car.
Some of the Other Impressive Specs
Regardless of the conditions in which you’d be driving the Huracán LP 610-4 Avio, the car’s all-wheel drive system will most certainly help out, and you probably won’t even tell the difference during the harsher conditions.
The tires on the Huracán LP 610-4 Avio are top of the line Pirelli P Zero tires which are designed to grip the floor well enough that one can practically bend around corners at lightning speed, you’ll feel like you’re actually stuck to the road or track. It also gives you the incredible ability to come to a complete stop from 70mph in just 144 feet.
With those of a taste of elegance, you have the choice of five beautiful colors from which to choose for your Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio. Colors can be selected for the interior, exterior, cockpit material and several other parts of the car. In other words, anyone can personalize their Huracán LP 610-4 Avio to make it fit exactly with their unique style.
The Making of the Huracan
For years Lamborghini was looking to replace and up their game from their Gallardo sports car, which until then had been their most produced car, and the most sold one as well. They found their answer in the Huracan series which feature several different models from which to choose, including the one that we at United Routes recently moved in our enclosed transport vehicles, the Huracán LP 610-4 Avio.
The Huracán LP 610-4 Avio was introduced to the public in March 2014, and is given the name 610-4 simply due to the incredible 610 horsepower housed in its engine, and the four wheel drive that the automobile employs to ensure maximum control and steering precision.
The upgrade from the Gallardo line to the Huracán line also saw a huge jump in technological advances. Starting with full LED headlights which help out significantly with driving at night time, to the simple set of buttons that help control all parts of the driving like the engine, transmission and all-wheel drive, the Huracán LP 610-4 Avio may make you feel like you’re in a cutting edge stealth bomber or space ship.
Remember, if you feel your adrenaline level rising sharply, don’t worry, it just means you’re in the right car.
United Routes Helping You With Your Exotic Car’s Move
Besides for having experience and professionalism in handling antique and classic car transport, United Routes helps to safely move exotic cars all across the country throughout the year. In other words, we know quite a bit about what it means to move any type of exotic car, or any type of car for that matter.
Some of the common connotations of an exotic car are that it’s built in a unique fashion, or can reach speeds well above those of the average car that you’ll on your local street or highway. Due to these aspects, servicing them needs to be done in a very specialized way. That includes both repairs, or even moving them from state to state.
With our line of top quality enclosed auto transport vehicles, our professional drivers at United Routes ensure and guarantee that your exotic car is handled with the utmost care from the beginning of the job when loading it up onto the truck, all the way to their destination.
With the 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio that we recently transported, it was no different. We carefully loaded the automobile onto the truck, and delicately, but firmly strapped it down to avoid any movement along the way. Our cautious drivers always give their precious cargo a smooth ride, and the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio arrived safely at its destination in exactly the same condition as when the owner handed the keys over to us.
United Routes Gets Up Close and Personal With the New Traffic-Ignoring Prototype
Need a way to weave through traffic without driving recklessly? Well then, why don’t you just drive over them. Yes, you heard right, OVER. Though it may sound like an episode of Inspector Gadget, Verizon and Jeep have come together and created the world’s first car, the Hum Rider, that can extend itself upwards to allow it to literally overtake the car ahead of them.
Wait, Verizon manufacturing futuristic cars? No, you didn’t miss the memo. Verizon is primarily using the Hum Rider as a marketing ploy to promote their technology that’s used to enhance one’s existing car’s performance, one’s normal car that is.
We at United Routes were tasked with moving the Verizon Hum Rider from one area of the country to another, to help spread Verizon’s message. With the help of our professional moving team, and our custom designed enclosed auto transport vehicles, we made sure heads got turning as quickly as possible.
The Jeep Cherokee – The Timeless SUV
Since 1974, the American public, and the world at large have been enjoying the ride afforded to them by the Jeep Cherokee. Named after the Native American Tribe, and rightly mimicking their ability to navigate and thrive in the great outdoors, the Jeep Cherokee has been one of those smaller, yet very capable SUV’s that people have trusted for decades.
Though there were about fifteen years in which the Cherokee had been named the Jeep Liberty in its place, 2014 saw the return of the Cherokee nameplate that was sorely missed by people throughout the nation. One of the highlights of the new Jeep Cherokee is its terrific fuel economy. At 31 miles per gallon for highway driving, it’s nearly impossible to find such environmentally friendly numbers in other small SUV’s in its class. This just adds another reason why the Cherokee is a crowd favorite all over. The sales on the 2016 and 2017 Cherokees were so high, that projected sales of the 2018 model forced Fiat and Chrysler to discontinue the manufacturing of two of their other cars, the Dodge Dart and the Chrysler 200.
Rush Hour Has Never Been This Enjoyable
Once the people at Verizon had decided that the Jeep Cherokee was the right vehicle for the job, they were tasked with getting to be able to lift to over five feet in the air. The undercarriage was custom made with a Honda produced hydraulic lift system (over 300 feet of hydraulic lines are included!) to get the Cherokee up there.
The special effects company A2ZFX, with the help primarily of their one and only Scott Beverly handled this job, which included installing special motors into the wheels that powered the lifting mechanisms. Scott had worked on visual effects in movies like Dark Knight and Interstellar, so if there was anyone who knew about making a Jeep Cherokee look or work like a spaceship or Batmobile, it was him. All the extra parts needed to transform this simple Jeep Cherokee into the movie-like car as we know it, and the spare metal to support all of those parts came at a cost. The Hum Rider weighs in at a whopping 8,500 pounds!
Once the driver in the Verizon Hum Rider pushes the button and gets his car airborne (sort of), the lifts and wheels are at a wide enough distance where small cars can travel underneath. It also means that the driver can pass any smaller and lower cars while driving right over them. While this process is taking place, the driver has a screen that shows him exactly what’s going on beneath the cockpit. This is helped by the presence of four high-quality cameras located under the Hum Rider.
Verizon Helping Consumers Stay at the Technological Forefront
Though you may be wondering how you can get your hands on this all important, convenient and time-saving technology, it’s not being made available to the public anytime soon. Verizon is simply using the Hum Rider to demonstrate its abilities to enhance your car’s technology through its cloud-connected services. And what a better way to do it than showing you that with Verizon technology, you can literally get ahead!
Verizon is promoting it’s Hum automotive technological packages to the public. Some of the features that are included in the Hum tech pack are comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and incredibly efficient emergency assistance. One of the most popular features in the Hum technological package is any consumer being updated in real time about if their car, when borrowed and being used by their child (or anyone for that matter), is being used recklessly, like abusing the speed limit.
As many of the new cars on the market are already equipped with many, if not all, of these features, Verizon is attempting to go after those car consumers with older cars, or the ones with newer cars that simply lack these specific features.
United Routes Always Happy to Help
With experience primarily in classic, antique and exotic car transport, we don’t receive requests like the one we got from Verizon every day. Nevertheless, with our expert abilities in handling cars of every make and model, regardless of condition or value, we were confident that this run with the Hum Rider would be as smooth as any of our other ones.
Keeping in mind that the wheels and shock absorbers on the Hum Rider were of the more delicate of its parts, we ensured that it was tied down in the most secure way before closing the doors of our enclosed car transport vehicle. With careful driving and a devoted work ethic from all of our employees involved in the Hum Rider’s trip, we successfully moved the car to its desired destination. At that point, we could only stand back and watch the people’s faces as the Hum Rider’s driver sat over nine feet off the ground, and continued its job of easily driving over other cars.
With an advanced water cooled four cylinder engine, and nine attractive body styles to choose from, the Model A has gone down in history as one of the most memorable classic cars of its era. The Model A was able to reach 65 mph in peak form, and also featured mechanical drum brakes on all four wheels. It had only three gears, beside for an option to reverse.
Recently, we at United Routes were given the task to move one such Model A. Before we made the safe delivery in one of our enclosed auto transport vehicles, we had a few minutes to check out some of the specs on this classic car. From the old clutch and brake pedals, to the old school rims on the wheels, and the extra wide running board along the sides and doors of the Model A, we were truly in awe of this old seasoned auto stud.
Replacement of the Ford Model T
During the 1920’s and the decade before, the automobile market was dominated by Ford’s Model T. It was the first car that your average middle class American could afford, and reasonably, America saw cars pop up nearly everywhere as a result. However, towards the latter part of the second half of the decade, other companies, like General Motors, were producing solid competition in the mid-end car business. This forced the Ford company to think of a new car that would again appeal to the masses and up their defunct sales.
So in late 1927 the Model A was born, and was a smashing success. In fact, by March 1930 there were already 3 million Model A cars sold throughout the world. Keeping population numbers at that time in mind, and how common cars were back then, one can easily see that these numbers were very significant. The Ford Model A had quickly become Ford’s second crowd favorite, and the car was soon seen on streets all over America.
With vast experience in enclosed car transport, specializing in classic, antique and exotic car transport among others, we were very excited and confident about the move of this beautiful Ford Model A. Though many car fans out there would refer to the Model A as a classic car, in fact it’s officially categorized as pre-antique car, due to the fact that it’s between 50 and 99 years of age.
Because cars of this age and condition need the utmost in delicate care, we made sure to employ one of our enclosed trailers for the move. The Model A was strapped down inside the trailer by the wheels. For the sake of preserving the car’s condition, we are very strict about never strapping any car down by the axle or chassis. Because many older cars have low ground clearance, we always make sure to use our trailers that were custom made for that type of job. We ensured that this Ford Model A was delivered to its destination in exactly the same state in which we found it, from top to bottom.
The 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo
Lamborghini’s Powerful Racecars Get Delivered Safely Thanks to United Routes
With the sheer power of being able to hit 60 miles per hour in only 2.5 seconds, and gliding along a racetrack at speeds north of 200 mph with ease, you could easily miss the 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo fly right by you.
Lamborghini’s supreme racing car, used as the sole model for all competitions in the company’s world famous Super Trofeo races, lives up to its maker’s reputation and delivers on and off the track.
With Lamborghini and their racing teams taking part in competitions all the time, they, of course, need their racing cars delivered to and from the racetracks. And being that safe delivery is the highest of priorities for Lamborghini, it goes without mentioning that moving these racing machines need to happen in the most professional manner. So when we at United Routes got the call to move some of their race cars in our enclosed car transport vehicles, we knew we had to be at our best, like we always are.
Lamborghini is Where Power Meets Beauty
With a long history of some of the highest end cars in the exotic car industry, Lamborghini made its name primarily in the private sector among wealthy individuals looking for that one in a million car to call theirs. With their unique designs, including wedge-like contours, and the unusually low and wide feel to all of their cars, people all over the world fell in love with nearly every model that Lamborghini manufactured.
However, it would be silly to make the mistake that Lamborghini’s success has only been limited to their designs. The power of the engines that they produce are some of the most powerful that you can find in any automobile anywhere. The roar of the engine and the thrust felt by anyone inside the car while driving, driver and passenger alike, attest to the obvious fact that one is experiencing true greatness in automobile manufacturing.
The Move to the Racetrack
With all the experience and success that the people at Lamborghini had, it was only natural for them to take the dive into creating a car that would be ideal for racing. They didn’t want to merely produce “just another Italian race car”. Instead, they wanted to manufacture a race car that could easily compete with the great international racing car producers like Ferrari, Mclaren and Porsche.
That’s where the dream of the Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo was born. Following years of research and development, the engineers at Lamborghini created a car that would look and feel like the classic model everyone was used to, but would be able to drive on a whole new plane.
Obviously then, to create this racing car, there were to be many differences between a “racer” and the usual Lamborghini one would see on a residential street. Expensive sound systems, fancy leather seats and airbags were all stripped from plans, as well as even the basic passenger seat. This all, of course, helped to bring the Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo’s weight down 330 pounds, a decrease which makes a monstrous difference in the racing world.
Super Trofeo – Lamborghini’s Ultimate Competition
Like with several other international car companies who produce racing cars in addition to their more pedestrian lines, Lamborghini runs an international racing competition every year to promote their company and cars. The Lamborghini Super Trofeo is held in various places around the world, including Europe, Asia and America, where some of the best drivers compete. The winners then all compete at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final, where the winner is crowned. The 2016 Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final was held in Vallencia, Spain.
One aspect which is truly unique about the Lamborghini Super Trofeo is, that regardless of whether the races are happening at the initial stages in Europe or the USA, or even in the World Final, every car that’s used, is the Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2. That means that none of the drivers have any mechanical or technical advantage over any of the other drivers. The races and competitions in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo are decided solely by the individual skill of each driver, and how well he/she can handle the personal Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 assigned to them.
Built to Race
The 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo has an extremely sophisticated Motec engine management system, which helps to ensure that the engine is used in its most efficient state. It’s expertly made V10 engine, which is naturally aspirated, helps to give the LP 620-2 the lift it needs to race at its best.
Additionally, a traction control system with nine distinct settings, and a 12 position braking system, significantly help the 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo be the ultimate race car. The tightest of corners are no problem for this racing beast, as the aerodynamics, including a huge spoiler on its back end, help to facilitate the air to keep the Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo tight against the ground no matter the speed.
Years of Experience in Exotic Car Transport
When tasked with the job to safely move several 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo’s, we at United Routes knew what the job entailed. Any potential compromising to the outer skeleton of the Huracán LP 620-2, and its perfect aerodynamics could make a difference on the racetrack, something which is held dear to all at Lamborghini race team.
With experience in moving all types of exotic cars, both racing and non-racing cars, and professional drivers with expertise in enclosed car transport, the team members at Lamborghini Racing felt confident in using United Routes. And we delivered on our promises for customer satisfaction.
From the initial pickup of the 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo’s, which involved carefully loading them onto our spacious and secure enclosed auto transport haulers, we exuded professionalism. After the smooth loading, the drive was completed at the projected time, and we pulled into our destinations. We then finished the smooth process with the delicate unloading of the Huracán LP 620-2’s to the immense happiness of the folks at Lamborghini. Another great job by your friends at United Routes.
Safely Delivering the 1970’s Favorite with United Routes
With its powerful 5.8 liter V8 engine, and sleek 1970’s style curves, the 1972 De Tomaso Pantera L is one classic car that will get car lovers’ heads turning any day. The Pantera L has a beautifully crafted aerodynamic design which helped it become one the best performing mid-engine cars in its class.
United Routes recently had the opportunity to move an excellent condition 1972 De Tomaso Pantera L in one of its trucks which are made exclusively for enclosed car transport. With the car safely inside the truck, and our professional movers and drivers doing the work, we ensured quick and safe handling of the Pantera L from the beginning of the move right up until the end.
Expert Italian Design
The 1972 De Tomaso Pantera L was produced by the De Tomaso car company of Italy for a period of twenty years, from 1971 until 1991. In that time, over 7000 Panteras were manufactured, with the maximum of three a day being produced in the early 1970’s. The models in 1972 were some of the earliest ones and often found to be crowd favorites.
The 1972 De Tomaso Pantera L was built with the unique mid-engine design. This means that the engine is set further back than the usual spot under the hood of the car.
The primary benefit of having built the Pantera’s engine in this position is that more weight of the car is placed on the back tires. This translates into better traction of the back tires, and a significantly easier time when braking. For the more aggressive drivers of newer and older sports cars out there, it would mean fewer spin outs or skidding.
A potential drawback when building a car with a mid-engine design is that there can almost never be any possibility for a backseat. Due to the engine being set further back, the back bench seating in a regular sized car is almost completely taken up by the engine. However, for those usually buying new or old sports cars, that rarely presents itself as a real issue.
According to American definitions, a classic car is defined as being between 30-49 years of age, so the 1972 De Tomaso Pantera L certainly fits the bill. As a result of the age, and often heavy use of the classic car over the years, it requires especially delicate handling when moving from one location to another.
This is where United Routes and their expertise in classic car transport comes into the equation. With years of experience, and thousands of classic, antique and exotic cars moved, we are the company who knows exactly what it entails to get that special automobile where you need it.
With the sleek and beautiful 1972 De Tomaso Pantera L it was no different. From the loading of the Pantera up into enclosed car transport vehicle, to the smooth journey to our destination, and finally the safe unloading of the car, we ensured that our customer could feel secure in the smooth and efficient delivery of their car.
United Routes Helps to Deliver One of Motorsport’s Finest Events
It was all excitement at Marlin’s park in Miami, Florida, on Saturday January 21, 2017, as some of the world’s most incredible motor sports stars raced throughout the day at the Race of Champions to the amazement of the fans. With outstanding competition, great entertainment, and beautiful warm Miami weather, this was a Race of Champions to remember.
Fans also had the chance to interact with some of their favorite racing stars, and some of the big names in the business. With the stadium setting, as opposed to the bigger NASCAR tracks, or street tracks of Formula One, the vibe definitely contained something of a casual and personal touch.
United Routes was also there in Miami helping with the preparation leading up to the races. With their efficient closed car transport of many of the participating race cars, United Routes helped to ensure this event would be memorable.
Racing’s Event of the Year
Ever since 1988, the Race of Champions has been thrilling fans of all types of motor sports all over the world with its impressive array of races featured at the competition. With representatives and cars from NASCAR, Formula One, World Rally and IndyCar competing in head to head races throughout the weekend, it’s no wonder why the Race of Champions is one of the most celebrated motor sports events of the year. Though originally the founders of the Race of Champions limited the racing events to cars only, they have since expanded the racing schedule to include a nice amount of motorcycle racing as well.
Besides for the actual racing events throughout the day, participants at the Race of Champions are privy to get an up close look at some of the nicest sports cars and racing cars in the motor sports world. Many of the world’s current styles of racing cars were on display throughout Marlin’s Park at the Race of Champions, and hundreds of fans were enjoying every moment they had to check out these top performing machines.
Montoya and Vettel’s Team Germany Claim Top Prizes
Though there are many types of competitions at the Race of Champions, like the new Ryder Cup inspired America versus the World race, and the breathtaking motorcycle races, the two most prestigious awards are the Champion of Champions, and the Race of Champions Nations’ Cup.
The Champion of Champions award goes to the individual driver who has the best overall performance. The winner receives the Henri Toivonen Memorial trophy. This year’s winner was Juan Pablo Montoya, the Colombian motor sport legend. He had to beat out 16 of the world’s greatest racing stars to claim the prize, and only after several heats and earlier group stages.
The Nations’ Cup, which features two drivers in each car, went to Sebastian Vettel and Team Germany, who notched their record seventh victory in this particular competition. Vettel had to beat out the two famous NASCAR brothers Kyle and Kurt Busch in the final to achieve victory for Germany.
The Race of Champions is Unique
Besides for the fact that the fans are closer to the action because of the smaller, figure 8 track, racing during the Race of Champions means that the action is constantly in front of you. That means none of that annoying waiting around for the pack of cars (or in this case the pair) to make it around the track again. Anyone, from any viewpoint in Marlin’s Park, was able to catch every moment of the racing. That’s one of the many aspects of the Race of Champions that makes it extra special to fans all over the globe.
Additionally, you get to see world class drivers from all different areas of motor sports racing head to head in the same exact type of cars. There are even times when NASCAR and Formula One drivers are racing in cars they’re not very familiar with, like the Race of Champions’ trademark ROC buggy. This gives the fans the chance to see drivers using their incredible talent to adjust and still drive around the track seamlessly.
Some of the Top Featured Cars at the Race
Among the many beautiful racing cars on the track at the Race of Champions was the sleek Ariel Atom. Produced in the United Kingdom, the Atom has a unique look with the chassis visible to the onlooker, and having no windows or roof. Some Atoms have been clocked to go from zero to 100 mph in 6.86 seconds. That’s faster than a Porcshe 911 Carrera S, or a Caterham CSR 260.
Another racer was the super light X-bow, manufactured by Austrian motorcycle company KTM. With a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0 liter engine, capable of hitting top speeds of 217 mph, the KTM X-bow can go from 0-60 in under 3.9 seconds. The spectators at the Race of Champions were treated to seeing the KTM X-bow several times through the competition and were definitely not disappointed.
One last car that certainly raised eyebrows was the Audi Quattro S1. Considered one of the best rallying cars of its time in the mid to late 1980’s, the Quattro S1 was built on the small side, with a wider base and slightly wider wheels. These points, which significantly helped with precise steering during races, along with a very steep windscreen for improved visibility for the driver, allowed the Quattro S1 to win many competitions in its heyday. Though the Audi Quattro S1 didn’t participate in any of the racing in Miami, all the fans at the Race of Champions were more than happy to get a few up close looks at this racing and rallying legend.
With these amazing cars and dozens of others needed to be transported to Marlin’s Park, United Routes had no problem getting them there with their closed car transport capabilities. Besides for us transporting the cars to the park, we were also tasked with the job of moving some of the cars to and from different spots within the park during the competition. Our car moving expertise came in handy for this job, which we graciously accepted. With delicate handling and our experience in exotic car transport, we made sure that every car was where it had to be and when.
From the moment Honda/Acura began manufacturing the NSX over 25 years ago, they knew for certain that they created something great, and could only improve on it.
With an incredibly powerful engine able to produce 573 horsepower, and hitting speeds of over 190 mph, it’s no wonder the 2017 Acura NSX is turning heads all over the country. But don’t worry about the control. Even when challenging it up at high speeds, you’ll have as much control and grip as when you’re pulling into the driveway.
It’s noteworthy to mention, that the 2017 Acura NSX is the only supercar that’s designed, developed and manufactured in the United States. That means a top quality automobile from the initial drawing board, all the way to the track or street.
Some of the Amazing Specs of the 2017 Acura NSX
The NSX is made from top quality carbon fiber material which is strong, yet very lightweight. That means its performance is increased exponentially.
The twin motor, which creates the all wheel drive capability, greatly helps to make the steering and breaking with the NSX incomparable to other cars in its class. Though most car lovers would be shocked, but the NSX actually also has a hybrid motor inside, which helps to manage motor and battery power levels.
The 2017 Acura NSX contains a very sophisticated 9 speed dual clutch transmission. The first gear gives the initial launch, and the 9th gear is ideal for cruising. This ensures one handling the car exactly how it should be.
The NSX is perfectly shaped to allow for the utmost in aerodynamics. This is besides for the meticulous placement of all of the 10 air intakes, which help with the constant need to cool the car from its super powerful engine.
Gorgeous and Balanced Design
The engineers at Honda/Acura really outdid themselves when designing the exterior of the car. Their primary focus was that the car would look unusually and uniquely sharp, while at the same time maintained a heavy dosage of elegance.
Keep in mind, that the 2017 Acura NSX isn’t produced on any assembly line. Instead this supercar is carefully put together by hand at Acura’s sprawling 200,000 square foot Performance Manufacturing Center in Anna, Ohio. With several teams on site daily, they ensure that every aspect and piece of the NSX, from the chassis to a small bolt, are perfect, and put together as they should be. This translates into a winning car each time, and an ultimate performance for the driver.
Every single one of the 547 bolts needed for the production of a single NSX, is precisely measured to ensure the perfect torque when the car will eventually drive. Additionally, the extremely powerful engine is revved at different speeds, and with different weight loads, for approximately 150 miles, so that the car’s buyer is certain that their brand new NSX is really ready to go right out of the show room.
Leave the Car Transport to the Pros
It’s no wonder that an owner of a beautiful red 2017 Acura NSX recently asked us at United routes to take care of moving his car for him. With years of experience in enclosed car transport, we took up the call, and provided excellent and careful service, from the initial loading until the safe delivery of the NSX at its destination.

Fans and spectators were blown away by Ferrari’s fleet of cars engaged in stiff competition racing around Daytona International Speedway at the annual Finali Mondiali between December 1-4. This was the first time that the event took place in North America, and what better raceway for this thrilling racing event to take place than the famous Daytona.
The Finali Mondiali is arguably Ferrari’s major annual event for promoting their contribution to the ever growing world of motorsports. It involves close to 1000 of Ferrari’s, new and state of the art models, and older classic Ferrari models. In fact, an attempt was made to beat a world record of having the most Ferraris on a racetrack at once, which unfortunately was not accomplished. Besides for the cars on the track, there were several new and classic Ferrari models on display off the track as well.
Besides for the intense competition, there were many cars demonstrating pit stops, exciting accelerations and fast laps all day for the throngs of Ferrari lovers who come out to watch. Ferrari even had two of their top racecar drivers, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen travel with their own cars to really excite the crowd with how their cars run.
This year’s show had some extra significance as well. Besides for being the first Ferrari Finali Mondiali in North America, it was also the first time that F1 cars had ever driven on the famed asphalt of Daytona International Speedway, usually used for Nascar or other motor sport events. For the regulars at Daytona, this was a real treat.
Making Sure the Cars Get to the Track Looking Great
As one could imagine, the entities providing the cars for the event like Ferrari North America, as well as local dealerships and collectors, obviously needed to employ a top quality company, specializing in enclosed auto transport, to ensure safe delivery of their cars to Daytona. Ferrari did not want their cars exposed in open car carriers, so that the cars would look their best at the show. With the possibility of bad weather, dust, little rocks and other debris affecting how the car could look, enclosed car transport was a must.
We at United Routes were tasked with the transport of 62 different cars for Ferrari’s Finali Mondiali. As experts in handling exotic car transports throughout the country, the delivery of all 62 cars was handled efficiently from the start, all the way up to carefully rolling the cars off the trucks at Daytona.
